The Ribble Valley cricket competition was held at Clitheroe cricket club on Friday 22nd June. Leaders from Clitheroe Royal Grammar came along to umpire the games, they did a fantastic job as the event ran very smoothly. Six schools attended the event and many of the players representing the schools played cricket at the local clubs outside of school, resulting in an excellent standard of games played. Each school played 5 games throughout the day, one school did finish off the day undefeated, and therefore winning the event was Pendle Primary School. From this they gained the opportunity to qualify for the Level 3 school games at Blackpool. Placing 2nd in the competition was Whalley Primary winning all but one game and in 3rd place was Oakhill. Well done to all the teams that come and took part we hope you had a fun day in the sun!
