Friday 24th May was the Ribble Valley section for mini tennis. Held at the Ribble Valley Tennis Centre 10 teams competed to win their place as Ribble Valley tennis champions 2015 but also Ribble valley representatives in the Lancashire school games held on 30th June.

The teams were split into 2 groups with group a being made up of St Leonards Langho A, St Josephs Hurst Green B, Bolton-By-Bowland B and Salesbury A, while Group B featured Grindleton, St Josephs Hurst Green A, Bolton-By-Bowland A, Salesbury B, St Leonards Langho B. The format of the competition was that each team would play each other once with the top team in each group progressing through to the final and the 2nd placed team from each team would progress to the 3rd/4th place playoff match.

Group A saw Salesbury A progress winning their games 0-4, 0-4, 1-3, respectively. Second place in group a went to St Leonards Langho A who won their games 4-0, 3-1 with the only defeat coming against Salesbury A. third place went to St Josephs Hurst Green B and finishing fourth was Bolton By Bowland A.

Group B was won by Grindleton who finished on 10 points winning 3 out of 4 games and drawing the other (4-0, 4-0, 3-1, 2-2) while Salesbury would have 2 out of 4 in the last round with their B team finishing 2nd in group B on 8 points winning 2 and drawing 2 of their games (4-0, 2-2, 4-0, 2-2). St Josephs Hurst Green A finished 3rd on 5 points, Bolton By Bowland B finished fourth on 2 points and St Leonards Langho B finished fifth on 1 point.

Onto the last round, Grindleton would face Salesbury A in the final while St Leonards Langho would play Salesbury B in the 3rd/4th place playoff match.  Finishing third was St Leonards Langho who won their games 10-9, 10-7, 10-7, 10-8, to win 4-0 overall and take back to school the bronze medals. Salesbury A vs. Grindleton saw Salesbury A storm to victory with a 4-0 overall score after winning their matches 10-4, 10-8, 10-5, 10-9.  So it is Salesbury A who progress to the Lancashire school games representing the Ribble Valley, Grindleton finish second and St Leonards Langho A third.
