Business is a dynamic and relevant subject which will show you how businesses approach marketing and PR, finance, production, personnel management and strategic decision-making. You will look at how factors in the outside world affect business and society.
Our aim is to study all the major aspects of the corporate world and the significant factors which influence business performance and success. This is not a dry factual study – we concern ourselves with how real businesses are making decisions today and focus on enterprise and entrepreneurship as real life decisions.

Mrs P. Smith
I have always found Business an interesting subject to teach because it is so relevant to our everyday lives. Students enjoy learning about how businesses operate and react to the external world, especially if those businesses, whether local, national or international, are contemporary to them. I particularly enjoy showing how the local business environment has changed over time so that students have an awareness of what has happened in their own locality. It gives me great satisfaction to know that what I am teaching students will be relevant to them in their future lives and careers as many of the skills they learn in Business can be taken straight into the workplace.
Mr P. Motteram
I fell in love with teaching when I was in school myself. I had some really amazing business teachers who truly inspired me; igniting a passion in me for the subject. I went on to do my degree in business and marketing and eventually a PGCE in business education. Teaching business gives me freedom to develop student skills. I am able to deliver a range of fun and engaging activities which allow my students to gain real-world skills, whilst also developing socially as individuals to become a key part of the society in which they live.
