Last week we took our 3rd cohort of 12 boys to Jamie’s Farm in Hereford.
Jamie’s farm acts as a catalyst for change, enabling young people with various needs to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We do this through a unique residential experience, a vigorous follow up programme combining team work, family, farming and therapy.
During the visit our student’s participated in a range of therapeutic, team building activities including farming, horticulture, horse-work, carpentry, art, log chopping and cooking. These activities are set in the calm, beautiful countryside of Herefordshire.
The work gives young people an opportunity to succeed in meaningful jobs , therefore boosting their self esteem and enabling them to see themselves and the world around them in a new, more positive light.
We have fount that our students return from Jamie’s Farm re-energised and enthused about the opportunities available to them and the positive paths their lives can take!
