Accrington Academy students take top spots at regional awards!
Students from Accrington Academy are leading a ‘charmed’ life after taking the honours at the ‘CHARM’ awards.
Organised by Ynot Aspire and Carer’s Link Lancashire, CHARM is an exciting new inter-schools event which celebrates the talents and achievements of young people in Hyndburn, with nominations made by staff. It also aims to raise awareness and funds for the two local young people’s charities.
And at a special red carpet event held at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre on Thursday (7th February), Accrington Academy students made their mark with the following award finalists:
• Young Voice Award- Mohammed R
• Sporting Individual Award- Saskia D
• Inspiration Award- Ethan N
• Young Carer Award- Aycia-Rose D
Thomas P also wowed the audience with a bagpipe performance. Thank you to Charlotte F and Joseph S for all your hard work.
Accrington Academy scooped two awards, Ethan N won the Inspiration Award and Aycia-Rose D won the Young Carer Award.
