Accrington Academy celebrated Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th Birthday in style by hosting a tea-party in the Dining Room. Complete with bunting, masks and even our very own Beefeaters, students and staff enjoyed the best of British! Accompanied by Vocal Adrenaline singing classic British songs, including Jerusalem and the national anthem, students and staff who had bought a ticket were treated to a classic tea party with sandwiches, cakes and actual tea from a teapot. Harry McNamara, Y12 student, supported the choir too.
One student commented,
It was great fun! The Queen is really important to us and to celebrate like this was very special.
Long may she reign over us!
