Year 4/5 Cricket

In the second year of running – this competition proved to be extremely popular with 16 schools entered altogether. The event was held on the lovely ground of Rishton Cricket club and Hyndburn Academy provided the umpires and scorers. The 16 teams were split into four groups of four and the top team from each group qualified for the semi-finals. St Bartholomew’s were the winners of group one and they played the winners of group three – Pendle whereas the winners of group two, Moorend played the winners of group four who were Benjamin Hargreaves.

Pendle and Benjamin Hargreaves came out winners of the semi-finals and met in an extremely competitive final which Pendle won. St Bartholomew’s were third overall. Good luck to Pendle who will represent the Ribble Valley and Benjamin Hargreaves who will represent Hyndburn in the level three school games in July.
