Accrington Academy is centrally located within Lancashire, nestling in the foothills of the Pennines and close to the scenic Ribble Valley.

New direct train services between Accrington, and Manchester
The reinstatement of 500 metres of rail track, will improve journey times between Accrington and Manchester and will be a vital catalyst for jobs, economic growth and the visitor economy. The project will put Accrington within commuting distance of Manchester and open up job prospects, as well as tourist and leisure opportunities.
New Accrington Bus Station
Accrington’s £6.4m bus station is taking shape as its opening date gets ever closer, scheduled for the middle of May 2016. The new bus station will be manned during operational hours and will also be covered by a CCTV system. The station will also feature 11 bus bays and a range of electronic passenger display screen to provide up to date and, where available, real time information on bus services. Public toilets, including a disabled access toilet and baby changing facilities will also be available as well as a Changing Places facility. There will also be a manned travel desk to provide information and timetables for bus services in the area.
